Olivia Garfield
James A. Garfield (1831-1881) was many things. He was a husband and father. He was a preacher and teacher. He was a Union general during the Civil War. He was a U.S. Representative. And he was the 20th President of the United States.
Members of the Garfield family have been connected to Hiram College in Ohio since James Garfield was a student, teacher, and president of the school in the 1850s.

Olivia Garfield served on the Hiram College Board of Trustees from 2009-2019. She is the great-great-granddaughter of President Garfield. Join us for an engaging discussion about this special man and the legacy he left for his family and his country.
